Are you amazed as I am how people demand to be called by a particular title because with the title they believe it comes with respect, honor, glory, authority. But so often they miss the point, the title does not give these, the person does. A person is given a title because they demonstrated the qualities which deserve it and when they stop, the title also goes. So, if you have a title, it does not mean much if you as a person are not honoring it first.
My suggestion is skip the title, be the person, accept the title if given.
